In today's rather long gospel, Jesus teaches about forgiveness. He takes a case of a man who owes millions in today's money and the same man is also owed a few pounds by a friend. His creditor of millions forgives him the debt, say a developer being forgiven 500 million by a bank, and then insisting on payment from a poor tenant of a weeks rent and threatening to put them on the street if they do not pay. Actually, when put in terms like that the story sounds plausible in today's world.
The road to heaven is paved with acts of forgiveness, we must constantly forgive small and big things as we journey through life. Forgiveness frees us from the bondage of the other person. When we can forgive we let them and the hurt go from our lives. Forgiveness is very practical in its own way!
