Mark gives a very terse and brief list of the appearences of the Lord today. He tells us of the appearence to Mary of Magdala and the two men on the road to Emmaus and how he reproached the diciples for not believing. Then he gave them an order; "go out and tell the whole world" about all that had happened.
It is a wonderful story; God leaves heaven and becomes man. In the process he overcomes death, guaranteeing no one shall remain dead and all those who have gone before us are waiting for family and friends to join them. Life that ends in death can have no meaning.....Jesus extends life to an eternal reality. And an eternity spent with him. Now this is good news...worth telling. Easter should make a difference to how we view ourselves. We are important, we are God's children and we shall never die! What a promise!
