"To have seen me is to have seen the Father." This is the reply Jesus gives to Philip when he is asked to "show us the Father." Jesus uses pretty deep talk of the Father in me and I in him, but for us the important thing is that Jesus shows us the Father in person; Jesus is love in human form. Sometimes we get too caught up in abstract thinking and miss the beauty of God's plan of salvation because we look for things that are not there. Man sinned in Adam; Jesus comes, out of love, to reconcile us to the Father. He had no reason other than pure love for doing so. The plan of salvation is as simple as that and it is also as deep as that. In Jesus the fulness of the Godhead exists and he delights in being with us!!!!!
