READING: 1 Kings 10:1-10
RESPONSORIAL: Psalms 37:5-6, 30-31, 39-40
GOSPEL: Mark 7:14-23
There is something that we seldom think off in life; we can nurture good motives as much as we can nurture bad. The only problem is that often the bad appear nicer. When we find ourselves getting caught up in legalistic thinking, like the Jews in today's reading, we should stop a while and reflect on our own life. Then we will be faced with making a choice of whether or not to continue with the harsh legal way or to make allowances for the other person's weaknesses and forgive them. The Christian life is full of so many small choices like this.
