In our own lives we sometimes let so many things come between us and God: we get too involved in social issues for their own sake, we give way to temptation too easily, we allow ideas and attitudes into our minds that are not Christian. In other words - we seek our own ends rather than God's. God expects a faithful heart. He is a jealous God who wants us and our heart to be completely focused on him. So often we move him aside and every time we do, we always feel the pinch in some way because that is the nature of human beings, when we move away from God there is some part of our being that is effected by this act. And even being a wise king cannot protect us from this rule of human nature. Let us remember to pray to God to never let us stray from His love!
