"My own joy may be in you and your joy be complete."
Here again we see the intimate relationship Jesus wants with us, to be so close that what he feels is what we feel. The Gospel of John is such a deep writing, probably reflecting the experience of John himself, and so personal in the way it speaks of Jesus, that we could reflect on it every day of our lives. Constantly we are reminded of the union and the "communion" between Jesus and us, we are encouraged to live in this union, to let Jesus more and more be the centre of our lives. In the midst of a secular, materialist world, the message of Jesus seems nonsense but we have to remember at all times that the message of Christ is a supernatural message that can be lived and understood only through the eyes of faith.
